Restore San Marcos

On November 5th-6th, we will be working together to partner with those who are making the biggest difference in San Marcos.  Many non-profits in San Marcos serve those in need on a daily basis, and we want to do our part to serve them.  Our biblical responsibility is clear to clothe the naked, feed the hungry, care for the fatherless, and to be near to the brokenhearted.  These organizations are doing those things, and we need to join them in their restoration of our city.

We need 200 volunteers to volunteer in three hour shifts.  If you can help at all on Saturday or Sunday, we need you.  Quite a few of the projects are being led by River Stone people, and we encourage our folks to sign-up with your OverFlow group. However, if there’s a partner that you feel strongly about partnering with, it’s fine to sign-up on another project.  All sign-ups are done on the Restore San Marcos website.  Click here to sign-up.

Finally, we’re having a kick-off Worship Event to launch us into the weekend with the right heart.  On Wednesday night, November 2nd, we’ll be worshiping with folks from other churches and organization who are participating in the weekend.  Chris Kipp from Crosstalk will be leading worship.  Brandon Hatmaker, author of Barefoot Church and founder of Restore Communities, will be speaking.  John Church and Jason Bollinger will also be giving direction and vision about Restore San Marcos.

We believe this is the beginning of something very special and significant, and we would love for you to be a part of it.  If you have any questions, please e-mail us (info@river-stone.org) or text or call to 512.761.7722.
